We would like to show you some pictures of the premises and surrounding countryside. The Montalbano hills are excellent for walks, and the many little villages are worth a visit. The medieval 'de Medici family has left behind an enormous amount of culture and art, which can not only be found in the famous museums of Florence, but also in this rural part of Tuscany, which belonged mainly to them. In fact the Montalbano used to be their private hunting grounds and therefore many of their country residences filled with their belongings can be found in this neighbourhood.
Florence, Siena, Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano and Lucca as well as many other significant cities can be easily visited by car or by train from Empoli.
